How these samples were recorded
Vintage Ludwig, Slingerland, Gretsch, Sonor and Premier kits. Ludwig Supraphonic, Acrolite and Black Beauty snares. Captured with a 1950s French ribbon mic, Neumann U67, Coles 4038 and other vintage ribbons, through tube and ’70s preamps. Processed with tape echo, cassette, analog flangers and phasers, overdriven delays, pedals and outboard gear, mono to wide, dry to saturated.
Sound
Boom bap, psych, indie, ’70s funk, lo-fi. Each pack has its own character: Mono Punch Love sits tight in the center, Roar and Beefy hit heavy, Orbit adds motion and FX, Toasted runs dark and warm, New Old Breaks lands around 1971, Just Fills covers every transition before the drop.
